“I’ll Fly Away” sings about the spirit of a loved one, as they are about to be set free from the pain and suffering they are experiencing. This is not a sad song, it is focused on the future and then, the beauty of a shared past, with beautiful moments together. This piece was premiered by a volunteer choir of 50 Long Island choristers, during a concert to raise funds for local veteransin need.
This piece is particularly well suited for advanced high school choir, college choirs, church choirs and community choirs.
